Activities for Children
Selecting a holiday that provides something for everyone and keeps the whole family happy can be a challenge. Our aim is to provide a comfortable balance between a holiday that kids of all ages will love and an environment where grown-ups can also relax, have fun, and enjoy a well-deserved break.
We provide a range of child-friendly facilities to make your holiday more enjoyable:
The cottages are set in secluded grounds, almost half a mile from the nearest road. Broomhill Manor’s location, enormous lawn and car free cottage areas, means that children have plenty of room and freedom to run around and play in safety. Our guests tell us that no matter what time of the year and whatever the weather, there are many things to keep the whole family entertained at Broomhill Manor! And if you are holidaying with pre-school children, you will also be thinking about the mountain of baby equipment that is needed – so we take that worry away, too!

Facilities for Infants & Toddlers
Going on holiday with a toddler can be stressful enough, and trying to fit all their paraphernalia into an already packed car for a trip away from home can be challenging. If this is the first time you have travelled away from home with a baby in tow, you won’t believe the amount of extra “stuff” you need! Our aim is to help take the strain away so that you can travel to your holiday knowing that your cottage will be fully equipped with everything your little one needs. We also provide facilities such as babysitting and a cottage food service, to give you a break, too!

Baby and Toddler Equipment
We provide an extensive range of baby and toddler equipment free of charge – just let us know what you need when you book, and everything will be in the cottage ready for you when you arrive!
We can provide travel cots, high chairs, toddler cutlery/plates, stair gates for cottages with stairs, bed bars, booster seats, potties, changing mats, sterilisers, baby baths, bath seats, bath mats, night lights, blackout blinds, and baby monitors. If you have a particular item you need, please ask – there is every chance we have one!
Under 6’s Play Room
There is a very well-equipped playroom created exclusively for under-6s to enjoy. It has a great selection of high-quality early-learning toys for your youngsters to play with and is very popular with our little visitors!
Activities for the Older Children
Often more challenging for parents is finding something to keep the older kids happy for the odd moment when they have their noses out of their ipads and gaming devices. There are facilities on site at Broomhill to keep them entertained and also, being very close to the coast, there are lots of active pursuits they can try for a day out.
Play Areas
Young visitors love to explore the various play areas here! There’s a wooden fort, with tower, tunnel, climbing net and a second fort with swings, a lookout tower, slide and climbing ropes. There is also a trampoline (good for the grown-ups too!) and a wooden playhouse. There are wooded areas for hide and seek and plenty of room for team ball games on the vast front lawn.
Games Room
The indoor games room houses a pool table, table football and table tennis. All these games are available free of charge – making the room an even greater hit with our junior visitors, not to mention the bank of mum and dad!
Tennis Court
There is an all-weather tennis court available, and we provide tennis racquets and balls to borrow to ease the load on your boot space!
Gym and Snooker Table
The gym is available for teenagers 16 and over, and the snooker table can be played on by teenagers when supervised by an adult.
Local Activities
There are many local activities, including surfing, abseiling, stand-up paddle (SUP), rock climbing, golf, shooting, and fishing – all within a few minutes of Broomhill Manor.
